Meet the Herd

Lucky is a 22 year old quarter horse gelding. At 15.1, he is a small horse with a big spirit. He loves showing off his lateral work and enjoys a brisk hack around the property. He spends his afternoons munching hay and telling his little brother, Coko, what to do. He is very fond of his goats, and is willing to share his hay with them.

Coko is a 15 year old morgan cross pony, who joined our herd last winter. He can be a shy little man but once he gets to know you, he is the snuggliest, sweetest pony. He loves kisses on the forehead and Krunch treats in his grain. Coko looks up to his big brother Lucky, who shows him that things are not as scary as they first seem.

Deedie is a 21 year old chestnut mare who joined our family this fall. Deedie is a soft, sweet and sensitive spirit, who shows wisdom and strength in her quiet demeanour. She enjoys being brushed and fussed over, having big neck hugs and following her brother Bob around, who keeps her safe.

Bob is an 9 year old bay thoroughbred who joined our family this fall. He has a puppy dog personality, always looking for his next kiss and belly scratch. Bob is a pretty chill guy, who enjoys getting brushed, stretching for cookies and munching on his hay with his sister Deedie.

Henry is a very energetic and brave goatie. He loves to climb bags of shavings and can jump over 6ft fences. He likes to be first when we go on our walks around the farm. Henry is exceptionally affectionate and can sometimes become jealous if his brother Simon is getting too much attention.

Simon is a very sweet goatie who loves bathing in the sun, getting belly rubs and eating his grain. He jumps for joy when he can plop on a fresh bag of shaving has been added in the centre of his stall. He looks up to his brother Lucky and is very often sharing the same mouthful of hay.

At first glance, Franklin may appear like a big tough guy but his goofy and charming self quickly shine through. He takes his career as a farm dog very seriously and can be found helping with the daily chores and checking on his goats. His favourite past time is taking afternoon naps in the sun and carrying around his toy sheep.

Madeline is a 4 year old mastiff-shepherd mix. She loves running really really fast and chasing bunnies on our property (and sometimes off of it). She also loves smoked Sardines and her stuffy bear. Madeline can be nervous of new noises and people. She often turns to her big brother Franklin for the confidence that she needs.

Meet Toupe, Lola, Jerold, Archie, Anabel, Olivia, Minnie, Raven, Marley, and our babies. They enjoy their days outside eating bugs, soaking in the sun and taking dust baths. They can be found napping under their favourite tree, foraging in the garden for insects or exploring the front yard. They are as snuggly and fluffy as they look.
